Paul Andersen

Paul Andersen, founder of Independent Architecture, a Denver based firm with a global reach, is also the co-curator and co-commissioner of the project, American Framing, for the Pavilion of the United States of America at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia.

 

In addition to stewarding his firm's agenda and practice, he conducts design projects in professional and academic contexts and has been a guest curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver and the Biennial of the Americas, and is a co-author of The Architecture of Patterns, Curve Culture, and The Monuments Power the Cars. Andersen has also taught at University of Illinois at Chicago, the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and Cornell University.

 

Andersen holds an M.Arch from the University of California, Los Angeles and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
