Pavel Jansta is the current Deputy Mayor of Vodňany. Born in the same town, in 1983, Jansta left to study political science and international relations at Charles University in Prague. After traveling throughout the world, he came back to Vodñany where he founded the organization Vodňany žijou, “Vodñany is Alive”, to promote social and cultural renewal. In 2010 he was elected Deputy Mayor.
