Miri Barbero-Elkayam directs Mesila, the Aid, Treatment and Information Center for Migrant Workers and Refugees in Tel Aviv. Asylum seekers often face difficulties because of their legal status, and Mesila aims to help children at risk first and then the larger migrant community.
